The Epiphone Dot Cherry is a rich sounding, vintage style semi-hollow electric guitar that looks stunning and plays incredibly well. The semi-hollow laminated maple body, set mahogany neck and dot-inlayed rosewood fretboard provide natural tonewood resonance and stability which matches perfectly with the warmth and depth of the dual humbuckers.

The tone is enhanced by the natural acoustic body resonance that adds a rich timbre. The Epiphone Dot has a classic vintage look and tone, in an affordable hollow-body design that has kept it popular year after year.

The humbuckers have Alnico magnets which get a strong signal and give this guitar the vintage sound of a classic semi hollow model. The electronics include a three-way switch and oversized tone pots, and volume pots that preserve the highs as you roll down the volume.

The adjustable bridge, stopbar tailpiece and vintage tuning machines provide excellent intonation and tuning stability. The medium frets, low action and slightly chunky neck offer a really comfortable and expressive playing experience.

All things considered, the Epiphone Dot ES335 really does justice to the original Gibson ES-335, the guitar that it is based on.

Authentic appointments from the original ES 335 include a Gibson engraved trussrod cover, orange sticker visible through the upper f-hole and bonnet style knobs.

This guitar is in fantastic condition and comes with a Kingman Hard Case (with one broken catch).

Here’s what Epiphone say about the Dot:

The Epiphone Dot is Epiphone’s version of the venerable ES-335 “Dot”, has been wowing guitar players all over the world for over four decades. Vintage models (with vintage problems) can’t complete with our Epiphone Dot, which is simply one of the best deals today for guitar players who want the classic sound of an ES-335 at an affordable price.

Epiphone is long famous for its own original semi-hollowbody models from the 1950s Kalamazoo, Michigan era, including the Riviera and the Sheraton. During the same time those guitars were designed and constructed in Kalamazoo, the ES 335, first introduced in 1958, became a favorite of blues, rock, country, and pop acts for its elegant design and wide array of colorful tone combinations.

Now, the Epiphone Dot, named in reference to its simple “Dot” fingerboard inlays, brings the sustain and resonance of the classic semi-hollow design for a bounty less than most solid body guitars. The “Dot” is the same axe that has been the bell weather of every rock and roll breakthrough. And now for the first time, the “Dot” puts that classic sound and over 40 years of refinements in your hands, the Epiphone way.
