Kay E-100 Vintage Electric Guitar (1970s Japan / Taiwan).
This is a gorgeous little vintage electric guitar, commissioned by Japanese manufacturer Teisco and made by Kay in Taiwan in the 1970s.
Very light, with a super-smooth neck and a gorgeous ‘Tulip’ body in sunburst, this is a lovely example of a ‘zero-fret’ vintage guitar.
As with most guitars of this type and age, the action is relatively high but is playable on the entireity of the fretboard.
The single Japanese-made pickup is warm and bright but also takes gain beautifully, breaking up into a lovely driven/almost fuzz tone.
The guitar has one slight crack to the scratchplate (near one of the screws) but, apart from that, it is in fantastic condition.
