This Westfield B4000 Jazz Bass is a HUGE amount of guitar for its price point. Based on the classic shape made famous by Fender, its two single-coil pickups coupled with the tonally rich woods used to craft the body make this the discerning choice for a bassist looking for a high-end sound, for an entry-level budget.
If you are looking for something with a range of tones and a super slim neck, then look no further than the B4000.
It has an offset, contoured body design with a white triple-ply scratchplate and a double body cutaway at the neck join. It then has a 20-fret maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard (making it smooth to play and really warm-sounding).
In terms of hardware, this B4000 is armed with twin single coil pickups, 2 volume and 1 tone rotary controls, an integral mounted jack socket and 4-in-line open-back machine heads.
As with every Jazz-style bass, this is fairly large and has some weight to it.
This bass is in good used condition, with only a few cosmetic signs of wear/use. These include a couple of scratches to the back of the body and two small chips to the lovely paintwork (which go all the way down to the wood).
None of these effect the playability, tone or function of the instrument. They are purely cosmetic. The guitar is in full working condition, has been health-checked, fully cleaned (inside and out) and had a basic setup carried out before sale.
