Here we have a very rare Orpheus Invader Les Paul-style electric guitar in cherry red. It is one of only about 1000 that were ever made by Orpheus who never managed to get their great quality guitars properly to market. As a result, this is a really rare piece which not that many people have heard of – definitely something to get your mates talking when they see (and more importantly hear) it!
With a solid mahogany body (with a flamed maple top), a mahogany neck and a 22-fret rosewood fretboard, this looks, feels and plays exactly like a Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul. It has the ‘Les Paul weight’ that players look for and has a set neck, attractive gold coloured hardware and interestingly-placed rectangular fret markers along the top edge of the fretboard (rather than the usual centrally-placed circular ones).
It also has a fantastic pair of active Invader branded pickups. The pickups are really versatile with lovely clean tones as well as comfortably handling gain (even including extreme metal tones). If you really want to let your hair down and rock out, this guitar can take you there!
This guitar is in excellent used condition. It has basically been kept in a case since it was bought by the previous owner. There are some very minor signs of wear and use but you have to look very hard to find them, There is only one visual blemish that we could find which is that the logo on the headstock has slightly faded in one area (on the word ORPHEUS).
It has been setup, fretboard oiled, electrically cleaned and tested, restrung and fully health-checked.
